Review by Rodrigo : Very good watch
I bought a watch like this a year ago when I traveled to Switzerland I was actually looking for a Victorinox watch. I was looking for it in a store, and I explained to the salesman the features of the watch I was looking for: automatic, day and date and leather strap. They had no Victorinox model I wanted, but he showed me this model from Tissot. When I looked at this watch I stopped my search. I have used daily since then.
This watch has a steel case, not too big nor too small. I think its size perfect for me. There are no sharp corners on this model.
It has two sapphire crystal, which have no scratches. You can see the machine working from the rear of it. It is very interesting.
Luminous hands are very narrow, difficult to distinguish between hours and minutes in the dark. Markers do not glow in the dark. That is, do not expect to check hours in the dark. Particularly, it is not a problem for me.
My watch gains 10 seconds a day. Not too much if you consider the working principle of this watch (purely mechanical) and if you compare with other cheaper automatic watches, for instance, Seiko 5 family, that can gain one minute a day. However, usually, a mechanical watch has a adjustable regulator, to correct the “speed” of it. I can se it in the interior of mine, but I prefer not to open it. Even a more expensive mechanical watch (Rolex, Omega etc) will have an error of some +/- 4 sec/day.
It has a self-winding movement. It will never need to opened to replace the battery. You can use it like a quartz watch – that is no need to make abnormal movements in order to keep it working. The “load” of the spring lasts about 38 hours. That is, if you do not move the clock in this period, it will stop. It is enough to shake it a little and it will work again. However, if it stops, you must set the time and date, of course.
This clock counts up to 31 days every month. So it is inevitable adjust it every two months.
During the day it is shiny, the case as the markers and hands.
The leather strap fits well in the wrist and it has easy adjustment.
I’m happy with the watch. It is beautiful and works well. So the five stars …
